I named this business after my son. Teddy was the inspiration to take the risk, leave a secure job and start my own business.

I had a career I was proud of. The life that came with it was eating me alive. Knife making started as a way to decompress. Somewhere along the way, the workshop took on a life of its own.

What I didn't expect was that people would want to come and make knives with me.

Since then I've spent hundreds of days with strangers, many of whom have become friends and return customers. Chefs, surgeons, musicians, lawyers. They all left with a knife that no one else in the world owns.

It's hard to spend a day in a workshop with someone without ending up in a real conversation. Something about a workshop loosens people up. Every person who walks through that door brings something with them. I've learned as much from my customers as they have from me.
